Lagos State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr Sunday Aroni, has expressed optimism that the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration will deliver a new orientation camp to the scheme.
Aroni spoke on Thursday at the opening of the three-week orientation camp for 2,444 Batch “C” Stream 1 corps members at the Iyana-Ipaja camp of the scheme.
The state coordinator was happy about the government’s renewed commitment to building a new camp at Agbowa, near Ikorodu.
“I wish to place on record that Mr. Governor is set to make history in Lagos State by the demonstration of renewed commitment for the commencement of the construction of a befitting permanent orientation camp at Agbowa which, upon completion, will accommodate a larger number of corps members during the orientation course in Lagos State,” he said.
Aroni also told reporters that he had met with the governor to discuss the construction of the camp, following his assumption of office last June.
